Metik is the Amsterdam–Berlin based duo of guitarist Bram Stadhouders and drummer Luca Marini. Long-time friends and seasoned performers, they bring over two decades of international touring experience into a refined blend of dreamy electronica and melodic IDM, music that engages the body as much as the mind.
Educated in jazz and contemporary classical composition, they approach electronic music from a deeply instrumental perspective. Acoustic drums, percussion, guitars and a Bolivian charango intertwine in spacious yet grooving, evolving compositions. Balancing club-oriented pulse with concert-hall detail, their music is cinematic and atmospheric yet grounded in groove.
Their debut album, out on Atomnation Records, was recorded in a home studio overlooking Lake Lugano. The surrounding landscape, its stillness, depth and shifting light, subtly shaped the atmosphere of the record, becoming an integral part of its sonic identity.
