Samir Kanji facilitates trauma-focused breathwork.
His work is rooted in the understanding that difficult life experiences can continue to shape how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world long after the events themselves have passed. These adaptations may show up as recurring patterns, chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, disconnection, or a sense of being stuck.
Through breathwork, Samir supports people in working with and integrating these experiences while also strengthening internal resources such as resilience, self-trust, presence, courage, connection, playfulness, and joy. Rather than focusing only on what is difficult, his approach also cultivates the capacities that help people meet life more fully.
Born in Pakistan to an African family with Indian ancestry, raised Canadian, and now living in the Netherlands, Samir brings a cross-cultural perspective to his work. His practice is informed by a two-year, 1,000-hour training in trauma-focused breathwork and grounded in an anti-oppressive framework that resists colonialism, patriarchy, capitalism, and white supremacy.
